Head over to BMWUSA.com and build your own F30 320i with the just released online configurator tool. The
just announced entry level 3 series brings new users to the BMW brand. The 320i starts at $33,445 for rear wheel drive and $35,445 for xDrive all wheel drive.
If you flip over to
BMWUSA.com and start building your own 320i you'll see that it is easy to option it up into the forty thousand dollar range quickly. BMW is not offering the 'trim line' options as on the 328i and 335i, instead there are more traditional BMW packages and options. The choices include -
- Metallic paint - $550
- Dakota leather - $1450
- Dark burl walnut wood trim - $500
- Cold weather package - $950
- Premium package - $3200
- Driver assistance package - $950
- Lighting package - $900
- Sport package - $1300
- Heated front seats - $500
- Split fold down rear seats - $475
- Moonroof - $1050
- Navigation systems - $2150
- BMW Apps - $250
- Anti-theft alarm system - $400
- BMW Assist with enhanced Bluetooth and USB - $650
With every package, and option I maxed out at $46,120. Building an F30 320i in specifications I would want priced out at $37,670. Building a comparable F30 328i ended up at $42,695, which is a $5,000 savings.
We've yet to see what it is like to drive the 320i so stay tuned but I think it is going to offer driving dynamics just like the 328i. And I have a feeling the factory 180hp is under rated.
Build your own F30 320i and 328i and post the difference in price.
