BMW 2013 335i F30 M-Sport at the Detroit Auto Show
![]() BMW had a nice surprise for us at the Detroit Auto. The F30 328i and 335i in the base, modern, luxury and sport lines were all on display at various parts of the day leading up to the official press conference. I was expecting them to show off a 328i sport line that was on the main floor for a few minutes before being taken away, but when the music started and the lights went down BMW instead rolled out a 335i with the 2013 US spec M-sports package on it in the fabulous Estoril Blue 2. To say that the 3 series sedan with the M sport is a head turner is an understatement! ![]() The M sport line is an a collection of upgrades that are ordered as a single package starting this summer on the 2013 model year F30 328i and 335i. The upgrades over the base model include -
![]() M sports package cars will go into production as 2013 model year cars in July of this year with US deliveries starting in September. Despite rumors to the contrary the F30 will not be available with the M sport this February. Also contrary to the rumors there is no power bump with the M sport package. ![]() Pricing and exact details on the M sport have not been released yet by BMW but a price point in the area of $4,000 seems reasonable. That might sound high but the sport line is $1700/$2500 on the 335/328 respectively. Add in the aero parts, steering wheel, wheels, custom colors and the $4,000 price point seems about right. The M Sport brakes that have been spied on a few test mules are not confirmed to come with the M sport. My guess is they will be an optional upgrade to the M sport with a cost of at least $1,000. Stay tuned to F30Driver.com, we will have the latest details as they become available. More pictures of the 2013 3 series sedan in M-sport trim - ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The car really did look very sharp in person. I think people are especially going to love the M-Sport model if the price isn't all that crazy.
The points that stuck out the most were just some of the fit and finish pieces like the steering wheel, mirror bases and of course the front and rear bumpers. I have a feeling they are going to sell a lot of these. |

The New M3 engine will base on the N55. Second, just chip it and easy to reach over 400 hp anytime. One downside is just lacking of a LSD

You'll love it in person. The pictures don't do the color or the car justice!

Can't Wait for My First Drive
Looking forward to driving my M Sport when I get home is seriously one of the few things getting me through this deployment. I've read the sales brochure about 50 times by now, and visit the forum as often as the internet allows out here to see all of your new cars. I'm also excited about sharing mine with all of you when I get home. First things first, though, like a quick blast through the Hill Country

Thanks man! Yeah, we'll stay safe over here. Will post pics when the car gets to my parent's house. I'm sure they'll send some pics my way. Looking at a mid-July build, so I'm thinking mine should be one of the first M-Sports rolling down the line. Like I've said, I can't wait!
