Is Bmw F30 Differential Oil GL4 Type?

Hello all,

I want to change the differential oil together with the transmission oil at my automatic F30 320i efficient dynamics.

When I look up for the part number of the differential oil, and the part number,' 83222295532 ' comes up for the differential oil.

When I google it, it looks like this oil is GL4 and 75W85, So will GL4 be okay for the diff? As far as I know GL5 is suitable for diff?

And, how many liters do I need for the differential?

Thank you very much in advance.

Cheers,

David

Attached is some instructions that should help. I would use whatever the BMW PN is.

Thank you very much mate for the info.

The part number that comes up on realoem (which I mentioned above) is showing up an oil which has a back sticker saying 75W85 GL4.

So as long as the oil meets the specs (75W85 and GL4), then I can even buy Castrol right?
